Dr. Aleksei Popov

RESEARCH INTERESTS

My main research interests are in particle physics and related fields such as astrophysics and cosmology. I graduated from the Physics Department of Moscow State University in 1994 and worked for more than 30 years at the Institute for High Energy Physics (Protvino, Russia), participating in several successful experiments at the European Center for Nuclear Research (Switzerland), Brookhaven National Laboratory and Fermi National Laboratory (USA), searching for exotic particles and new physics (including dark matter), studying quantum chromodynamics and developing experimental research methods in high-energy physics.

Since October 2024, I have been working at Zaoksky Adventist University (Russia), where my work is mainly related to scientific and educational activities in the field of the relationship between the Bible and science.
