Dedication Ceremony of Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP) Creation Science Center

October 17, 2022, was a momentous day for AUP, with the dedication of the Creation Science Center (CSC). The event highlighted the formal opening of CSC to the public. Dr. Edwin Balila, the Dean of the College of Science and Technology, welcomed the participants, and Dr. Orlex Yllano, the manager of CSC, gave an overview of the center. Dr. Araceli H. Rosario, the president of AUP, emphasized in her message God's time model, exemplified by rhythm, order, celebration, and presence. Dr. Ronny Nalin (GRI Director) stressed the importance of the resource center's physical space and knowing the Designer of life and the world. Dr. Chong Geol Choi (GRI Asia Director) and Dr. Gracel Ann Saban (AUP VPA) gave their felicitations. Pastor Andresito Fernando offered the dedicatory prayer.

The center features the creation week with corresponding photographs, paintings, and artworks of students, faculty, and alumni. Fossils and preserved specimens from various taxa were also displayed. We hope that the displays in the CSC will show the Designer's fingerprints and visitors will know our loving creator and savior. During the opening day, about 2000 individuals visited the center. We expect more visitors to come to CSC from nearby schools and communities in the future.

The center aims to engage students, workers, church members, visitors, and interested individuals in the study, discovery, and appreciation of God's Creation through exhibits, printed and electronic materials on faith, science, and creation. We especially want to thank our volunteer curators, Mr. John Neil Vegafria, Mr. Merick Eupalao, and Mr. Cyrus Bobier, for their valuable contributions.
