Support Research and Education at GRI

The Geoscience Research Institute (GRI), located on the campus of Loma Linda University, is an institute of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. The staff is comprised of an interdisciplinary group of scientists with a shared interest in the interface between science and faith. Staff Ph. D. scientists conduct research in areas as diverse as molecular genetics and the geological subspecialty of sedimentology. In addition to their work as scientists, the staff of GRI have extensive experience in teaching, the majority having taught in both high school and university classes on secular and religious campuses.

Assisting teachers as they discuss the origin of life, and specifically humanity, is part of the mission of GRI. As both scientists and Christians we value openness and honesty. In this section of the GRI web page, we seek to provide teachers with easy access to resources that can enhance their classes as they seek to provide students with the knowledge necessary to make informed choices about what to believe about the creation and the Creator.

If you know of other teaching resources that you believe we should link to, or if there are services that we could reasonably add to this web site, please let us know by e-mailing Timothy Standish.
