Science and Faith: A Student's Reflections

ABSTRACT

This presentation will focus on several critical times in my life as a student, and how these have helped to form my beliefs on different issues relating to science and faith. A philosophical biology class in college, science and religion courses in the seminary, and the integration of faith in science classes were all crucial to my developing viewpoints. Although my studies in both fields have raised some difficult questions, they have also substantiated a beautiful harmony between God's two books. My challenge for Adventist teachers, pastors, and scientists is to find new and creative ways to uphold Scripture as literal and historical, and to let good science flow from within this framework.
